ProgramsThe DPCP currently serves the citizens of North Carolina by increasing awareness of diabetes and enhancing community-based efforts to reduce the burden of diabetes in the state. The DPCP is primarily funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is a public health program of the Division of Public Health (DPH) within the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
